Wellex Drilling is proud to announce the successful completion of the Rehoboth Copper Project in Namibia — a technically demanding diamond drilling campaign executed safely, efficiently, and with Zero Harm to people, equipment, and the environment.
Project Overview
The programme focused on drilling angled diamond core boreholes as part of an exploration drilling initiative aimed at evaluating copper mineralisation and advancing the geological understanding of the Rehoboth region.
Key technical parameters included:
• Borehole Type: Diamond Core (NQ size)
• Dip Angle Range: 75° to 50°
• Depth Achieved: Up to 250 metres per hole
• Purpose: Exploration drilling to delineate copper mineralisation and support resource evaluation
Operational Excellence
Despite steep angles and challenging terrain, our team delivered high-quality core with excellent recovery and strong adherence to programme requirements.
Highlights include:
• Zero Harm performance from mobilisation to demobilisation
• Safe and controlled drilling at steep angles
• Consistent core recovery and sample integrity
• Reliable equipment performance
• Efficient execution aligned with client timelines
Our Team Makes It Possible
A sincere thank you to the entire Wellex Drilling team — drillers, assistants, supervisors, logistics personnel, and support staff.
Your hard work, technical excellence, and commitment to safety are the backbone of our success.
Looking Ahead
The completion of these boreholes provides the client with critical geological data that supports their broader copper exploration strategy.
We wish our client continued success as they advance toward the development of a copper mine in 2026, and we remain ready to support the next phase of their journey.
